Tips for Eating Asparagus

1. Marry someone who doesn't appreciate the wonder that is asparagus, so you don't ever have to share.
2. Buy the thin, spring stalks.
3. Cook for about 1/2 the time any recipe from the 50's suggests.

Yummy Asparagus Recipe:

1 lb fresh springtime asparagus - rinse and snap in 3-4 pieces each
4 large mushrooms - cut into thick slices
1 Tbsp seseme seeds
1 Tbsp butter
1 tsp lemon juice

*Drop asparagus pieces into boiling water. Cook ~3 minutes or until fork tender. DO NOT OVERCOOK!! Drain.
*In med. pan, melt butter and toast seseme seeds until golden. Add mushroom slices, saute until tender. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
*Toss asparagus into mushroom mix until coated.

YUM.
